The challenge

ACCESIBILITY

ACCESIBILITY

Every citizen may come across a petitioner at any time, but this likelihood is sufficiently arbitrary to support it as the primary means of access to the initiatives. Furthermore, the time and effort required to sign ballot proposals do not fit into today's lifestyle. Ordinary folks no longer have time to stop by a circulator while going down the street to be fully informed and subsequently sign a petition. That is one of the key reasons for the dramatic increase in the cost per signature obtained by petitioners in recent years. 'Because people's time is worthless, this translates into increased hourly prices.' Processes should vary with the passage of time.

Despite the presence of dozens of petitioners on the streets, nothing is more accessible on a daily basis than your smartphone. We're dealing with the same issue for both groups: having a ballot initiative on the ballot would make it easier for people and political action committees to participate. In addition, another advantage of the same solution is shown. The digitization of this signature-gathering process standardizes the petitioners' hourly wage, making fulfilling the signature criteria for an initiative bill or constitutional change more affordable.
